8/27/2023 0 Comments Tiling manager windows 10Working with Virtual Desktops is a Bonus. Is there anything that i haven't heared of, that works on the latest Windows 10 and does dynamic tiling well? It should either work on multiple screens or ignore the second screen entirely. Divvy seems to not get any development, Others are asking pretty high prices for software that officially only works on Windows 7. There are several others that got recommended 5 or 10 years ago that i didn't bother trying. Powertoys FancyZones As said, it's static layouts only, barely and hotkeys and not dynamic tiling at all. This leads to it counting the windows on the second screen to the primary one and making the layout all wonky. It says it does on their github page, but i couldn't get it to work. HashTWM Doesn't seem to work with multiple screens. There's also zero config and the default keybindings are anything but ergonomic The gui will still be up but the notification icon will vanish and no tiling is happening anymore. It also uses a lot of keybindings that do other stuff in Windows.Īmethyst Tiling works as expected, but it will randomly just stop working. The taskbar vanishes and even closing bug.n won't bring it back until you restart explorer. In looking for options for windows, most stuff seems to be years or over a decade old. But I'm also a gamer and run windows 10 on my home PC. So, I'm a long time Linux User with a love for tiling window managers.
